New Additions!

Today was finally a good day to transplant our zucchini, butternut squash, corn and sugar snap pea seedlings {two of each plant, except for the sugar snap pea}. It was cool, overcast and not windy so in they went!

The garden is really coming along nicely. The lettuce heads are starting to form and the carrots, beets and chard are growing pretty quickly now! Our broccoli is coming in, too, although I had to pull the biggest plant because something was munching on it - the other ones are doing ok so hopefully they'll start to catch up in size. It's so fun watching everything grow! I just hope my seedlings transferred ok and won't be in too much shock. I planted them in their peat moss seedling pots as recommended by a book I've been reading. I have put so much time and effort in to them that it was actually kind of sad to leave them in the plot...They're my little seedling babies! :)
